Refund Policy

Applies to paid products bought from GANUE Audio ("GANUE", "we", "us").

Try before you buy -- not refund after

We do not offer refunds on paid purchases. In exchange, every paid GANUE plugin ships with a 14-day full trial with no feature restrictions -- full feature set, full audio quality, no watermarking, no nag screens, the same binary you would run after buying. The trial clock starts the moment you choose "Start Trial," not the moment you download, so it never runs out quietly in the background before you have opened the plugin.

This is a trade, not a technicality buried in fine print: an unusually generous, fully unlocked trial in exchange for a firm sale once you have paid. We would rather you find out everything you need to know before you buy than ask you to trust a refund process afterward.

We ask you to use that window. Load the plugin into your own sessions, on your own material, on the machine you actually mix on, and confirm it does what you need before you pay for it. If you are unsure, write to [email protected] before purchasing -- we would rather answer a question than have you buy something that was not going to work for you.

Two things worth knowing, honestly

We are not the only party to your purchase. Checkout is handled by Gumroad, our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record -- legally, it is the seller of record for the transaction. Two things follow from that, and we would rather state them plainly than let you discover them:

• Gumroad may issue a refund at its own discretion, within 90 days of your purchase date -- for example to head off a chargeback -- regardless of our no-refunds policy. If that happens, it is not us making an exception; it is Gumroad exercising a right it holds as merchant of record.
• Nothing in this policy waives a right the law gives you. Consumer-protection law in your country may grant rights that override a "no refunds" policy -- including, in several countries, a short period in which you may cancel a purchase of digital content outright. One example we can confirm: Gumroad honours Brazil's 7-day statutory withdrawal right for digital content, even when a product is set to no refunds. Whether an equivalent right is honoured the same way in every jurisdiction is set out, with what is and is not confirmed, in the Terms of Sale, section 6. Where mandatory law or Gumroad's terms apply, they control, and this policy applies only to whatever remains.

None of that changes the trade we are offering: an unusually generous, fully unlocked trial in exchange for a firm sale. It just tells you honestly who else has a say.

What this policy does not cover

This policy governs GANUE's own store and licence issuance. If you bought a GANUE plugin through a third-party marketplace or reseller rather than from us, that platform's own refund terms may also apply, and their process may run in parallel with or instead of this one -- check with them first if you purchased that way.

One thing we cannot do, and would rather you knew

A GANUE licence file works offline, forever, with no expiry and no way for us to switch it off remotely. That is a deliberate design choice and the reason your plugins keep working even if we do not. The flip side is honest: if Gumroad or mandatory law does refund a purchase, we have no technical means to deactivate the licence file already in your hands. We are relying on you to stop using the product in that case. We would rather build it this way and trust you than build a kill switch we would have to point at everyone in order to point it at anyone.
